School Vision Statement:
Mount Pearl Intermediate seeks to empower our school community by fostering a safe, respectful, student-centered learning environment. We promote a nurturing atmosphere where all learners are actively engaged in academic achievement, critical thinking and social responsibility. We promote and celebrate creative potential in preparation for lifelong learning and success.
Character Counts At Mount Pearl Intermediate:
As with many schools in the province, Mount Pearl Intermediate has implemented a “Character Counts" program in our school. The program invites students and staff to create a positive school environment where all can feel safe and respected. This program also promotes an atmosphere of acceptance, trust and responsibility for others.
Every school year Mount Pearl Intermediate dedicates a day to promote anti-bullying awareness amongst our students. To show our support on that day we ask everyone to wear pink.. In addition, some of our students have prepared a short paragraph to further educate us on this issue.
Throughout this year we will be providing you with educational videos from our various departments. Proper dress code in gym, tricks and tips on difficult Math problems will be just a few to mention. Don't forget to check back as our video library vault will begin to fil up with lots of helpful media.
Wondering when the next school activity is? Trying to find out when the next school dance is? Look no further than our online school calendar. From hosting sporting events to local charity activities our online calendar will have all the answers.
In order to promote student learning and the acquisition of knowledge it is imperative that everyone must maintain a well-balanced breakfast in the morning. With the assistance of our teachers and community our school has developed a breakfast program powered to fuel the learning minds of our school.
Throughout this school year, our Panther Radio Club will be conducting a series of audio/phone interviews with teachers, students, administrators, other schools, and radio professionals in part to help promote life long learning for everyone. Stay tuned as we make those interviews available for everyone. Coming soon!
